First win for Tim-Scuf

Tim-Scuf, Kiev (UKR) won at home against vice-champions Tsmoki-Minsk (BLR) 68-48 (14-8, 19-16, 10-14, 25-10) on Saturday to celebrate their first victory in Group A. Tim-Scuf remained on the path to the second stage.

 

Ukrainian team needs to win by at least 6 points against Horizont-RCOP, Minsk (BLR) on Tuesday to qualify to the next stage. Tsmoki-Minsk will be second or third in the Group A with a ticket to the next round. 

 

On Saturday Tim-Scuf led 19-10 in the 12th minute, 33-24 at halftime, but visitors cut their deficit to one point (42-43) in the 32nd minute. Home team led 51-48 with four minutes to play and finished the game with a 17-0 run. 

 

Players of the Game: Olga Krasnikova (Tim-Scuf) and Viktoryia Hasper (Tsmoki-Minsk).

 

This match at the Kiev Palace of Sports was attended by 500 spectators.
