Sūduva ended Inventa’s 18-game winning streak

Inventa’s, Kursk (RUS) 18-game winning streak from last season in the Baltic Women’s Basketball League ended Thursday as the Lithuanian champions Sūduva, Marijampolė defeated the reigning BWBL champions at home 84-78 in overtime.

Sūduva led 38-26 at halftime, 53-48 after third quarter. The game was tied 68-68 after fourth quarter. Sūduva’s forward Danielle McCray sent the game into overtime. She hit 2-pointer with 2 seconds to play in regulation. Home team took the lead in the overtime and didn’t let their opponents to go ahead.

Sūduva committed 30 turnovers, but made 14-of-20 2-pointers (70 percent), 11-of-25 3-pointers (44 percent) and 23-of-26 free-throws (88.5 percent).
